Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is well-known American cookery book author and Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002 and aired up to 2020 in 27 seasons. Ina began her career working for the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy reports. Though she found the career to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she lost her interest in it and bought a tiny specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. The business was extremely profitable over the course of 18 years until she made the decision to close it. Her next step was to write the first book. Other cookbooks followed, as were magazine articles. Between them Her Food Network show was also an enormous success. She also sells a range of items ranging from cooking materials to equipment and storage containers. Ina did not go to a cookery institute nor did worked in restaurants. Ina is totally self-taught. Her easy-going approach to entertaining and her easy style of cooking are widely known. Her most famous dishes are Lemon chicken that is skillet-roasted, Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon and balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts, and Lemon Bars.
