Hayley orrantia is a native of the US. She is primarily an actor, however she is also a singer and songwriter. Her most well-known role is Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy series "The Goldbergs". Her definition of herself is a musician first and foremost. Music is the first passion she claims; it's something that she started dabbling in since she was only 9 years old. At the age 12 she was taking the music seriously enough that she began professional training. At 13, she began writing songs. She recorded her debut album at 14 years old. It hasn't turned around since. Orrantia is a native of America but with Hispanic roots. Even though she spoke only English growing up and had not been to Mexico Orrantia feels extremely proud of her Hispanic heritage. To preserve the heritage she's learning Spanish. Also, she writes songs based on the language. "Hasta Verte", a Spanish-language song which she recorded is a good illustration. Orrantia participated in The X Factor season 1's auditions in the summer of 2011. Orrantia got four "yeses" to the judges at the Seattle live audition stage following being selected from her YouTube submission. The first time she auditioned, she was a solo performer, but in the course of "Hollywood Week" the three female performers were placed in an ensemble to go through the auditions. The live performances were held during the week of 5th.
